Day one of Two Step Inn in Georgetown, Texas started off strong but ultimately ended with a lightning cancellation.

However, that does not mean the day was anything less than stellar.

Here at West Texas Frequency we love West Texas musicians and day one included several. (We also favor Alabama bands too, because our founder is an Alabamian living in West Texas).

Wade Bowen, a Texas staple and Tyce Delk, a Lubbock resident both played to large crowds of all ages before the rain started falling. (You can read our interview with Tyce here)

Muscadine Bloodline and The Band Perry, both from Mobile, Alabama, also put on enthusiastic performances to their audiences.

Dallas rapper BigXThaPlug was the wildcard of the day but drew the best crowd response until the festival was ultimately cancelled for the day.

West Texas frequency did not attend day two of the festival. Going from 100 degrees to a cold, wet, and windy environment does not bode well for those of us who get sick with extreme weather changes.

However, we hope to be back next year with sunny days and more West Texas/Alabama music!
