Needtobreathe made a stop at Buddy Holly Hall in Lubbock, Texas on their “Barely Elegant Acoustic Tour” on March 1, 2026.
Starting off the night was Boston band Tall Heights providing the crowd with some deep hitting songs and a cover of Blink 182’s “Dammit” which had its lyrics changed to “He hugged her” (if you know, you know)
Later in the evening, Josh Lovelace of Needtobreathe compared Tall Heights to Bert and Ernie and decided to discuss having a puppet show at intermission everynight. Needtobreathe singer, Bear Rinehart frustratingly shut the idea down.
Needtobreathe opened the Lubbock show with “West Texas Wind” and for it to be a slow song, the crowd was HOLLERING. Rinehart even made a comment about how this crowd would like this first song.
They played close to two hours, weaving in some new, yet-to-be-released songs, some mid career bangers, and one popular song from their second album, “The Heat”
The band will continue their tour with a few more Texas dates (see below) before wrapping up in Nashville for a show at the Grand Ole Opry and an album release performance at beloved record store Grimey’s.
